Primetime Animation Background Designer Course
Have you ever wanted to work for The Simpsons, Family Guy or Bob's Burgers?
Looks fun right? It is.
Or have you wanted a SIX FIGURE Salary while getting to draw every single day?
This course will help you break into the animation industry.
Primetime animation BG design has the best characteristics for getting into the industry as an artist:
- A well defined style.
- Easy and commonly used tools. Photoshop and hard round brush.
- Ample storyboards and references online.
- Realism - no fancy design skills needed.
- Plenty of backgrounds+ lots of artists needed = lots of job opportunity.
This course is not for you if:
- You don't have basic perspective or environment sketching skills.
- You don’t know what you want to draw.
- You don’t know how you want to make a living.
- You are unsure of what sort of art will make you fulfilled.
This is much more for the type of artist who has already run through the gauntlet of different job options, and you want to start making $100,000+ from drawing, NOW- in a stable studio environment.
Not sure how to get in? I've been there. 😵
I should know. I started training myself to try and become a background designer after I wanted to switch out of my advertising job. I made a ton of mistakes and it took me a while to figure out how exactly to break into the primetime animation style.
However within 6 months, I was able to get my first freelance gig as a BG designer. Within a year, I was a BG designer at Bento Box, the studio which makes Bob's Burgers. If someone like me can do it, from a completely different career path, then you can absolutely do it yourself.
I did all the hard work, and now I’m distilling all of my lessons from that time period into this course.
Additionally, you will get an industry-insider template PSD to make your work look professional. Also Included is the BG Design brush pack that professionals use in primetime animation, as well as an Adaptive perspective grid that has been used in animations studios like Bento Box and Fox.
